IOW Day OneHi my name's Alex and i'm on the Isle Of Wight. I'm sharing a room with Kara B, Doriane C, Megan G and me. Unfortuantely we don't have a bath. Its really nice here but the ferry ride was a bit too rough for me. In our room has three sets of bunk beds. Our rooms our next to Emily E, Angelica C, Holly H, Amy M, who were REALLY noisy. On the ferry it was really annoying because Bradley T kept on saying 'we're sinking we're drowning' i told him to be quiet cause he was saying it to annoy me but he didn't so i just went away. Isle Of Wight!Hi my name is Megan and I am in the Isle Of Wight with other Kings Road pupils. The coach trip down was good, it went really quickly! I sat next to Frankie T on the coach and we ate lots of sweets. When we were waiting to get on the ferry I was sat next to Jade and we were listening to my i-pod really loudly and we were head banging ;) All the other people in other coaches were staring at us. It was about half an hour on the ferry and we then arrived at the other side. We then went to Amazon World and saw lots and lots of really cute animals! I bought a magnet in the shop with two owls on it and it says "Isle of Wight".We then came back to the hotel and had yummy soup for starters, followed by hotdogs and then a piece of cake for dessert. Later on we had hot chocolates and then we went of to bed. I shared a room with: Emily, Jade, Frankie and Alex S.
I woke up this morning about 6:20am and everyone else in our room was up as well, Then Alex had a shower and it was really cold! Actually it was freezing, Alex survived but when I got in I was whining as it was freezing so a teacher came in and, we must of turned the switch of so I then had a lovely, warm shower! ;) Today we are going to a Castle and a farm and later on in the evening we are going fossil hunting. Hope all my family are okay and not missing me to much!! How is Snowbell?? :) xx
Megan C Sleepy Eyes!Good Morning KR!
The sun is shining brightly this morning and has been since about 5:00 a.m when the first of our rooms awoke! After a busy day yesterday and the lack of sleep last night there are inevitably some sleepy eyes this morning!! We have already been complimented on the good manners and politeness of our children, which makes me naturally very proud! We have a full day today and I hope the children will blog with their experiences later today. Hope all is well back at school. Mr Kyriacou We have arrived !!!!!!Hello Everyone We have finally arrived at the isle of wight after a very long journey of coaches and ferries. As soon as we arrived we went straight to Amazon World! Amazon world is like an indoor jungle filled with animals. What an experience! All of the rooms have been decided and everyone likes theirs! Having a great time! Ollie and Jon Second Day of Isle of WightHi it is Brook here in the Isle of Wight. It is the morning now and we are just sitting in the bar. A few people are blogging now. We got here yesterday at 5:30 and had a THREE COURSE MEAL!!! that was soooooo nice. We went to Amazon World (it was really cool because there were all sorts of animals including baby jaguars). Today we are going to a beach and a hands on farm. In the evening we are going fossils hunting with Martin Simpson. Isle of wight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAYYesterday was soooooo fun and the best birthday ever, we had to be at school by nine 'o' clock and to be checked in and ready to leave. We left school half past nine and started getting ready for the dreaded two hour journey to Portsmouth. On the coach I played DS for a wile and chatted for a wile, but towards the end of the journey everyone sung me happy birthday. At Portsmouth we had a picnic and millions of sea gulls kept dive bombing the food! After that we went back onto the coach and went onto the ferry. The ferry took forty mins and I got some great pictures of the Spinnaker tower. When we got off the ferry we went to amazon world! It was amazing, just like a real rainforest. There were macaws, bats, monkeys and giant ant eaters. At the gift shop I got a pencil for my collection. Back at the hotel we found out what rooms we were in(I am with James!!!) and we found we were going to the beach! At the beach we went paddling in the sea and played football. All in all yesterday was the best birthday ever!!
Kings Road Primary School on the Isle of WightYear 6 pupils leave Chelmsford bound for the Isle of Wight. At 9:30am, lots of excited and ever so slightly anxious pupils boarded the coach for their residential trip to the Isle of Wight. Many parents attended to wave the pupils goodbye and reassure their sons and daughters of a fabulous week away. Having spoken to Mr Kyriacou only 15 minutes ago, he confirmed that the pupils have arrived safe and well at the hotel where they will spend four nights away from home. The Year 6s have wasted no time and visited Amazon World this afternoon after driving off the ferry. The adventure has already begun! Check back here for more over the coming days. In the meantime, why not leave a message for the Year 6 Isle of Wight group. Activity Week day 1 (Art for Ebay)Hi everyone, i am so happy because we have been doing lots of Art. My group are Keeley, Marie, Pelin and myself, Rebecca. My group have drew a flower (very pretty) and lots of spirals and stems around it. Our special artist is Pelin who drew the flower herself and me and the others drew the spirals and the stems. Our painting is called Fashion Frenzy because our group name is called Fashion and Frenzy because it is quite mad! Year six are having a smashing good time with two different activitys (table tennis and art (oviously). Everyone is drawing different things, at the end we are going to put our art on ebay and sell it!

Year 2's Day at the Mini OlympicsOn the 9th of June the whole of the Year 2's walked to Melbourne for the Mini Olympics. It was such fun!!! Half of us got tired after the opening ceremony, including me!!!! But we enjoyed it, we had some supporters Liz, Miss Lyons, Mrs Hawkins, Mrs Martin and a supply teacher because Miss Nokes, our teacher couldn't come. Mr Clow came with us. Miss Nokes let me choose who we played for, I chose France and together we represented Kings Road. People were watching us like the Mum's and some others. We saw a few people who left our school, but they were playing for other countries. The helpers were really kind, they showed us what we had to do and played good games. Me and my best friends were all in a group together, I'm surprised we were all in the same team, and there was only one boy in our group. We sprinted against grown ups and all of us I think, beat them!!!! All the games were cool, I mostly enjoyed the sprinting, but all the games were fantastic. When the winners were announced we came.....................Joint 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And for separate people someone for the boys came first and he was in our class!!! You will hear more about him later. We all did our best and wanted to come 1st place, but joint 2nd is all we could achieve and we hope we've done you proud Kings Road! But we're just overjoyed that we had this opportunity to take part in this massive competition to sponsor Essex water. We all got a goody bag, a bottle of Essex or Suffolk water, a certificate and a comic. Back to the boy who won, out of all the boy pupils at Melbourne he got the most points!!!! For his prize he got a big golden medal and people in Kings Road screamed and shouted wildly as he stood up on the 1st place stand! I screamed quite loudly too! Loads of people were calling his name out, we were nutters!!!! Everyone was asking the boy questions. I said "It feels like you won the real Olympics!!!" He said back "Yeah it's amazing!!!!!!" When we walked back to school it was quite tiring, my partner was Lily M07 on the blog here, I lost her half way back but other children were there and adults. I found her talking to the boy who won and we walked together on the way back. When we arrived we didn't have time to get changed so we washed our hands and were the last classes for lunch!!!!!!!! I just thank the people at Melbourne doing the Olympics with us, and to the people who let us do this it's so cool!!!! I want to congratulate all of the Year 2's and other schools
